Customer Setup Guide
Welcome to BioAlign Pro! This guide walks you through setting up your edge server in about 15 minutes.
What You'll Need
- Your BioAlign Pro edge server (Jetson device or Docker-compatible computer)
- A monitor, keyboard, and mouse (for initial setup only)
- An internet connection
- A credit card (for subscription billing) OR an invite code (if provided by your vendor)
Step 1: Power On & Connect
- Connect your edge server to power, a monitor, and your local network (Ethernet recommended)
- Wait 2-3 minutes for the system to boot
- Open a web browser on any device connected to the same network
- Navigate to
https://your-server-ip/setup/- You'll see a certificate warning -- this is normal for local servers. Click "Advanced" and "Proceed"
- If you don't know the IP, check your router's connected devices list
Step 2: Create Your Account
Fill in the registration form:

| Password | At least 8 characters with uppercase, lowercase, and a number |
| Organization | Your facility or business name |
| Facility Name | Name of this specific location |
| Facility ID | A short identifier (e.g., "MAIN", "WEST-WING") |
| Edge ID | A unique ID for this server (e.g., "edge-yourfacility-01") |
| Invite Code | If you have one, enter it here to skip payment |
You must read and accept all three legal agreements:
- Terms of Service
- Data Usage & Privacy Acknowledgement
- Liability Waiver & Safety Acknowledgement
Click Register to create your account.
Step 3: Select Features
Choose which features to enable for your facility:

| 3D Clinical Assessment Bay | Full 3D body scan and clinical-grade assessment |
Select the features appropriate for your facility and click Save Features.
Step 4: Payment
- Enter your credit card information via the secure Stripe payment form
- Card details go directly to Stripe -- they never touch our servers
- Click Confirm & Activate
If you used an invite code in Step 2, this step is skipped automatically.
Step 5: You're Done!
Your edge server is now provisioned and active. You'll see a success screen with:
- Your license key (stored automatically)
- Your API key (stored automatically)
- Your enabled features
What happens next:
- The server connects to our analytics platform automatically
- A daily health check runs at 2am to verify your license and sync data
- All data collected stays on YOUR server -- only anonymized analytics are sent to the cloud
Accessing Your Server

Adding Users
Staff / Admin Users
- Go to the Admin Dashboard
- Click Create New User
- Fill in name, date of birth, gender, email, password
- Set role to "Practitioner" or "Admin"
Residents
- Go to the Staff Dashboard
- Click Add New Resident
- Fill in name, date of birth, gender, room number
- Set a password for their app login
Running Assessments
FMS Screen (Functional Movement Screen)
- From the Staff Dashboard, find the resident
- Click Run FMS
- The resident performs 7 movement tests in front of the camera
- Each test is scored 0-3 automatically
- Results are saved and available in the resident's profile
On-Demand Gait Screen
- From the Staff Dashboard, find the resident
- Click Gait Analysis
- The resident walks in front of the camera
- Gait metrics (stride, speed, symmetry, joint angles) are recorded
- Results appear immediately
Generate Exercise Report
- From the Staff Dashboard, find the resident
- Click Generate Report
- Select therapy style, duration, and goals
- AI generates a personalized exercise program
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Solution |
|---|---|
| Can't access setup wizard | Make sure you're on the same network. Try http:// instead of https:// |
| "Server not provisioned" | Go to https://your-server-ip/setup/ to complete setup |
| Camera not working | Ensure you're using HTTPS (cameras require secure connection) |
| FMS scores seem wrong | Make sure the resident's full body is visible to the camera |
| "License suspended" | Contact support -- your subscription may need attention |
